Six years ago KC Pet Project achieved official No-Kill status while running the city’s open admission animal shelter. It has saved the lives of more than 93% of dogs, cats, and other homeless and neglected pets in Kansas City over the last 6 years, with 10,000+ pets coming through the doors every year. This project emulates that accomplishment and so much more - it gives the city something to be proud of. From July - September 2017, $160,000 was raised through the efforts of the 5 Year No-Kill campaign, complete with a mailing appeal and an online campaign.
